Myth, virtue and method in Plato’s Meno

This paper challenges the prevailing interpretations about role and function of recollection in Plato’s Meno, by suggesting that is a cognitive process inaugurated myth. sets out methodological epistemological context within two transitions are feasible: On one hand, transition from elenchus to method hypothesis and, on other upshift opinions knowledge. Furthermore, this argues Socrates uses myth just when Meno niggles tries escape inquiry, introducing paradox. Based my deductions, Socrates’ imprints Meno’s soul true belief which facilitates rending valiant continuing inquiry.
